MPCT Hospital
The Cancer Care Center at the Surana Hospital Malad is a new, dedicated facility providing a range of Medical Oncology and Hematology services for all forms of cancers and blood disorders. In addition to traditional cancer treatment options of Surgery, Chemotherapy, and Palliative care, the new Cancer Care Center will offer new therapies, which are creating exciting new treatment possibilities.
The Cancer Care Center will offer Targeted Therapy - a new approach to cancer management, which uses drugs to selectively block the growth and spread of the cancer cells. These new drugs have the potential to be more effective than current treatments and are less harmful to the normal cells, with fewer side effects and offering improved quality of life for the patient. Targeted Therapy creates the potential for tailored, personalized treatment and signals a revolution in cancer management, which the Surana Hospital Malad intends to lead in the region.
The Cancer Care Center focuses on two main areas of care; firstly, screening, diagnosis, treatment and care in the field of Oncology. Secondly, the center will also focus on Hematology - the screening, diagnosis and treatment of blood diseases, whether benign or malignant.
At the core of the new center is a full-time, dedicated oncology team of two Oncology nurses and an Oncology Pharmacist. In addition to treatment, the Cancer Care Center Team will also provide palliative care, which is the care of the patient's body, mind and spirit, through a broad multidisciplinary approach, which includes the support of the patient's family.
